Vijayawada Railway Division: Goods Sheds Development Review
The South Central Railway (SCR) is working to improve its services in the Vijayawada area.
A meeting was held to discuss the progress of updating 15 goods sheds, where trains load and unload cargo.
Five of these sheds are planned to be finished by late 2025.
Railway officials also talked about upgrading railway stations under the Amrit Bharat scheme.
The goal is to make things run more smoothly, handle more cargo, and make sure passengers are comfortable and safe.
