Dubai to launch electric air taxis by 2026
Dubai is getting electric air taxis that will start flying by the end of 2026.
These air taxis are made by a company called Joby Aviation.
They can fly up to 160 kilometers and go as fast as 320 kilometers per hour.
The air taxis don't make any pollution and are very quiet.
Joby Aviation has special permission to run these air taxis in Dubai for the next six years.
They even did a test flight in Dubai in June 2025 to make sure everything works well.
Joby Aviation's electric air taxis to begin commercial operations in Dubai by the end of 2026.
The Joby Aerial Taxi can fly up to 160 kilometers at speeds of 320 km/hr.
The aircraft has zero operating emissions and is designed for urban areas.
Joby Aviation has exclusive rights to operate aerial taxis in Dubai for six years.
The first test flight of the air taxi in Dubai was conducted in June 2025.
