DoJ Restores Trump Photo in Epstein Files
The US Department of Justice (DoJ) released some documents about a man named Jeffrey Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender.
The next day, they removed 16 documents, including a picture of President Donald Trump.
People are upset because they think the government is not being transparent.
The picture showed Trump in a photo on Epstein's desk.
The DoJ hasn't explained why they removed the documents.
People on social media noticed that the picture was put back online later, but it's still not easy to find.
The documents were released because of a law passed by Congress and signed by Trump.
Many people, including some who support Trump, want the government to be more open about this case.
Some critics say the documents were heavily redacted and didn't reveal much new information, while others defend the removal, saying it had nothing to do with the President and was done to protect victims' identities.
The DoJ released over 1,500 documents related to Jeffrey Epstein but removed 16, including an image of President Trump, the next day.
The image was restored after backlash, showing Trump with a group of women and with his wife, Melania, Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Critics, including Democrats, argue the documents were heavily redacted and accuse the administration of flouting the law and covering up information.
Some Democrats have indicated they could draft articles of impeachment against Attorney General Pam Bondi for failing to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The DoJ has pledged to eventually meet its obligation to release all documents but is acting with caution to protect sensitive information.
