Sensex, Nifty Open Lower Amid Global Uncertainty
The stock markets in India opened lower on Friday.
The Sensex and Nifty both fell nearly 1%.
This happened because there is a lot of uncertainty in the world and the price of oil has gone up.
The price of Brent crude oil is now over $100 per barrel.
This makes people worried about India's balance of payments.
Also, the US 10-year Treasury yield has risen to 4.7%, which is another concern for investors.
All sectors of the market are down, with realty, metal, and financial stocks falling the most.
Experts say the Nifty is now heading towards a support zone of 23,645-23,500.
Global markets are also down, with Japan's Nikkei, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, and South Korea's KOSPI all falling.
Wall Street also ended lower overnight.
Sensex opened 683.20 points or 0.89% lower at 75,708.19.
Nifty declined 203.25 points or 0.85% to 23,666.35.
All sectoral indices traded in the red, with realty, metal, and financial stocks witnessing the sharpest declines.
Brent crude crossed the $100-per-barrel mark, reviving India's Balance of Payments concerns.
The US 10-year Treasury yield rose to 4.7%, adding to global market volatility.
