CBI Files Second Supplementary Chargesheet in RCom Loan Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation filed another charge sheet in a loan case involving Reliance Communications Limited.

It accused Amitabh Jhunjhunwala of helping to cheat the State Bank of India.

The case concerns loans worth Rs 1,200 crore taken for two Reliance companies.

The CBI says the loans were not repaid.

It estimates that this caused the bank to lose about Rs 971.25 crore.

Earlier filings named other company executives, bank officials and a company with two directors.

The latest filing brings the total number of accused persons and entities to 20.

Seven people have been arrested and are in judicial custody, while the investigation continues.
