Tourist Bus With College Students Chased, Attacked, Vandalised In Nashik
A bus full of college students was going home after visiting a fort.
Some people on motorcycles got very angry and chased the bus.
They thought the bus had cut them off in traffic.
The group stopped the bus and hit it with sticks and stones.
They also hurt the bus driver and other people who were with him.
The bus got damaged, including its front window and mirror.
The attackers said mean words and threatened to hurt the driver.
Police came and arrested four men who were part of the group.
The police are still looking for other people involved.
The students were scared because something dangerous happened on their trip.
A tourist bus carrying college students returning from Harihar Fort was chased, intercepted, and attacked on the Trimbakeshwar-Ghoti route in Nashik.
The incident occurred around 5:30 PM on August 8 in the Bori-chi-Wadi and Wavi Harsh areas after a dispute over the vehicle allegedly cutting off a motorcycle.
Driver Nagaraj Jagdish Girigaund and witnesses were assaulted with sticks and by hand, and the bus was vandalised, damaging its windshield, right-side mirror, roof, and bumper.
The attackers allegedly used abusive language and issued death threats, raising concerns about the safety of students visiting the area for tourism.
Four accused—Ajay Chandar Jadhav, Akash Dilip Jadhav, Akshay Devram Jadhav, and Devidas Madhukar Jadhav—were taken into custody, and a case was registered at Ghoti Police Station.
