Pune Schools Close Early for Grand Cycle Tour

Schools in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will close early on Friday, January 23, because of a big cycling event called the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026.

The event will start at Balewadi and end at Balgandharva Rang Mandir.

The roads will be closed for the event, so schools need to close early.

The PMC is also relocating stray dogs temporarily from the event route to keep everyone safe.

The dogs will be taken care of and returned after the event.

The Pune District Collector gave this order after the police asked for it.

This is to make sure the event goes smoothly and there is no traffic trouble.
