Radhakrishnan Says India Must Adapt to Global Economic Shifts

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan spoke at an economics meeting in New Delhi.

He said the world is changing quickly because of tensions between countries, shifts in trade, new technology and climate challenges.

He believes India should adjust to these changes instead of resisting them.

He said government policies need to be flexible and reflect real conditions.

India’s economy grew by 7.8% in the first quarter of 2026–27, he noted.

But he said growth matters most when people across society benefit from it.

He pointed to programs that help people take part in the economy.

He also said India needs strong research and cooperation with institutions around the world.
