Bengaluru Auto Fare Hikes Begin, Meters Must Update by October
Bengaluru's autorickshaw fares are going up!
Starting August 1, the minimum fare for the first two kilometers will be Rs 36.
After that, each additional kilometer costs Rs 18.
This is because of rising costs.
The government is making sure all the meters are updated by October 31.
This also affects ride-hailing apps like Rapido and Ola, which can charge a little extra on top of the new prices.
Some people think it's too expensive, while others think it was needed.
