Karnataka Signs Rs 2,500 Crore ADB-Backed Project for 500 Schools

Karnataka is working with the Asian Development Bank to improve 500 public schools.

The project will run from 2026 to 2030.

It will cost Rs 2,500 crore.

The ADB will provide most of the money, and the state government will provide the rest.

The schools are planned to teach children from LKG through Class 12 on one campus.

Students may receive free transportation, computer and AI lessons, and help choosing careers.

The schools will also support music, literature, sports and preparation for competitive exams.

The government wants rural students to build modern skills and compete globally.
