Calls Grow for First Female UN Secretary-General
The United Nations has never had a woman as its top leader in its 80-year history.
Now, many leaders want to change that when the current leader leaves in 2026.
They believe it is time for a woman to lead and want to make the U.N. more fair.
Some also suggest the next leader should come from Latin America.
One person who could be a good choice is Michelle Bachelet, who is from Chile.
World leaders are calling for the first female U.N. Secretary-General.
The current Secretary-General's term ends in 2026.
All previous nine U.N. Secretary-Generals have been men.
Geographical diversity is considered in the appointment.
Michelle Bachelet is a suggested candidate for the role.
