MP High Court Bars NEET Aspirants with Secured Seats from Stray Vacancy Round
Imagine there's a game with several rounds to get into a special club.
If you get picked in one of the first three rounds, you can't try again in the very last round, even if you think you might get an even better spot.
That's what a big court in India decided for students trying to get into medical school.
Some students who already got a spot in an earlier round wanted to try again in the last chance round, but the court said no.
The court also said that if you play a game by its rules, you can't complain about the rules later.
So, students who got a spot already can't join the last chance to get a spot.
MP High Court ruled that students who secured seats in the first three NEET (UG) counseling rounds cannot participate in the Stray Vacancy Round.
The court dismissed three petitions filed by candidates seeking this permission.
One petition challenged the amended M.P. Medical Education Admission Rules, 2018.
The court cited the principle that participants cannot challenge rules after the admission process.
The decision upholds the established procedure for NEET (UG) admissions in Madhya Pradesh.
