PM Modi, Congress Clash Over Illegal Immigration
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge had a big argument about illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
Modi said the Congress wants these immigrants to stay in Assam to get more votes.
He also said the Congress is doing things that are not good for India.
But Kharge said Modi is just blaming the Opposition because his own government is not doing a good job.
Modi was in Assam to open a big new factory, and he said his government will always protect the people of Assam.
Kharge said the Congress is not supporting bad people and is working in the country's interest.
PM Modi accused Congress of supporting illegal Bangladeshi immigrants to settle in Assam for political gain.
Modi claimed Congress opposes voter list revisions to grab power and does not care about Assamese people.
Congress leader Kharge countered that Modi is blaming the Opposition for the BJP's governance failures.
Kharge emphasized that Congress is not supporting terrorists or infiltrators and works in the country's interest.
The clash occurred during Modi's visit to inaugurate a Rs 10,601-crore fertiliser plant in Assam.
