Barcelona Nears Livakovic Signing as Gavi Faces Knee Doubt

Barcelona is close to hiring a new goalkeeper named Dominik Livakovic.

He currently plays for Fenerbahce and has played 79 times for Croatia.

He is expected to have a medical check and sign a four-year deal.

Barcelona may keep him or send him to another team on loan.

The club is considering him as a future replacement for Wojciech Szczesny.

Barcelona also has an injury concern involving midfielder Gavi.

Gavi hurt his right knee during a recent match against Elche.

Tests showed bruising and no new ligament damage, but he may miss Thursday’s game against Athletic Club.

Rodri could play his first match for Barcelona instead.
