Heavy Rain Alerts Issued for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Weather experts watch the sky and warn people when big storms might come.

They noticed swirling air, called a cyclonic circulation, over the Bay of Bengal, a large sea near India.

They expect it to turn into a low-pressure area, which often brings rain, by Wednesday.

Two states in India, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, are expected to get heavy rain for the next two days.

In Andhra Pradesh, a red alert was issued because there could be dangerous lightning.

In Telangana, a yellow alert means people should be careful and stay watchful.

The storms may bring thunder, lightning and strong winds, so people are advised to stay indoors.

The rain is actually good news for people in Telangana, who have been dealing with record-hot weather.

The rain will give them some relief and help cool things down.
