Odisha to Restructure Gram Panchayats Before 2027 Polls
The Odisha government is planning to change how its local governments (gram panchayats) are organized before the next elections in 2027.
This idea came from the Governor, who suggested looking into whether there should be more of these local groups.
The Governor thinks that having more local groups could help programs reach people better and make sure that funds are used properly.
The Governor also checked on different projects, such as the Jal Jeevan Mission which aims to provide tap water to every home, and other rural development schemes.
