Vrindavan Widows to Present Rakhis to PM Modi for Raksha Bandhan
A group of widows from Vrindavan are going to visit Prime Minister Modi to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.
They will give him 1001 handmade Rakhis, which are like special friendship bracelets.
These Rakhis are made by the widows living in ashrams with help from Sulabh International.
The Rakhis have pictures of religious figures and the Prime Minister.
This is a yearly tradition to show respect and affection.
The widows made the Rakhis in a special workshop before the holiday.
Elderly widows from Vrindavan will present 1001 handcrafted Rakhis to Prime Minister Modi.
The Rakhis are made by widows in ashrams supported by Sulabh International.
Each Rakhi features images of Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, and the Prime Minister.
This tradition of presenting Rakhis has been ongoing for several years.
