Five Arrested in Cuttack Gang-Rape Case, One Still Absconding
One night, a woman and her male friend were driving in a car.
Her friend was driving and felt very sleepy, so they pulled over to rest near a village.
Suddenly, six bad men came and stopped their car.
The men hurt her friend and then hurt the woman too, which is a very serious crime called gang rape.
Afterward, the bad men threatened the two friends and ran away.
The woman told the police what happened, and the police began searching for the bad men.
Officers found and arrested five of the six men.
One more bad man is still being looked for.
The woman is now home with her family and is doing okay.
The police say they are working hard so the case is resolved quickly and the guilty people are punished.
Cuttack Rural Police in Odisha arrested five of the six accused in the alleged gang rape of a young woman from Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The incident occurred Tuesday night after the woman and her male friend, travelling from Bhubaneswar towards Kendrapara, stopped their car for a break near Sukarpada village on the Cuttack-Chandbali Road because the driver felt drowsy.
