Haryana Opposes Parallel Power Licences in Gurgaon, Nuh

The Haryana government does not want another company to distribute electricity in Gurgaon and Nuh.

Power Minister Anil Vij said the government has already objected to the plan.

He said it will keep opposing the proposal.

If needed, the government may take the matter to court.

Electricity workers and engineers are also against the plan.

They believe it could lead to the privatisation of electricity distribution.

The proposal was recommended by a committee.

Opposition leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda asked the government to promise that the licence would not be allowed.
