Hinton, 'Godfather of AI', Warns AI Could Cause Mass Unemployment

Some very smart scientists build computers that can learn and think, called artificial intelligence, or AI.

Geoffrey Hinton is one of the most famous of these scientists, and people call him the 'Godfather of AI'.

He has a warning for the world.

He thinks AI will get so good at doing jobs that it will replace many human workers.

That means lots of people could lose their jobs.

A famous inventor named Elon Musk agrees with him.

Elon Musk builds electric cars and rockets.

He also thinks robots and computers will do most of the work in the future.

They both believe many people may not need to work anymore.

This could cause a big problem called mass unemployment.
