BRS Sends Six Teams to Probe Telangana Power Shortages

The BRS says Telangana is facing serious electricity shortages.

It plans to send six teams to inspect power plants and a coal company headquarters.

The teams will check how much electricity the plants are actually producing.

BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao blamed the Congress government for poor management.

He also blamed shortages of coal supplied by Singareni Collieries.

Rama Rao said farmers in some areas were receiving no more than six hours of electricity, although the government says it provides power around the clock.

He said some power plants were producing much less electricity than their capacity or had stopped a unit.

He also said factories were using generators and IT companies were reducing working hours.
