Insidious: Out of the Further Ending Reveals Cyrus’s Fate
Gemma is a mother who begins seeing frightening supernatural beings.
She learns that her own mother, Ingrid, faced the same danger years earlier.
Gemma’s daughter Maya has a special ability called the Courier ability.
Cyrus wants to use Maya to connect the living world with the Further.
This lets more supernatural creatures enter the human world.
To protect Maya, Gemma reverses the connection.
She sends the house, Cyrus, and the spirits back into the Further.
Cyrus’s followers attack him after he fails, but a mid-credits scene shows that he is still trapped there.
Gemma returns to her childhood home 20 years after her mother Ingrid’s suicide.
Gemma discovers Ingrid faced the same supernatural threat now targeting her.
Cyrus learns Maya inherited the Courier ability and uses her as a bridge between worlds.
Gemma reverses the connection and sends the house, Cyrus, and invading spirits into the Further.
