China, Russia align on Japan, Ukraine during minister's visit
China and Russia had important meetings in Moscow this week.
They agreed to work together to stop Japan from doing things that could cause trouble in the region.
China also said it wants to help end the war in Ukraine and will keep talking to Russia about it.
At the same time, the U.S. sent special envoys to meet with Russia's president, but they didn't agree on a peace deal.
Other world leaders, like France's president, are also talking about Ukraine with China.
This all happened because there are big disagreements between China and Japan, and everyone is trying to find a way to make peace in Ukraine.
China and Russia reached a 'broad consensus' on regional issues, including Japan, during Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Moscow.
Both countries agreed to coordinate against Japanese 'far-right forces' and attempts at remilitarization, amid worsening diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
China pledged to play a constructive role in resolving the Ukraine crisis and maintain strategic communications with Russia.
U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Russian President Vladimir Putin but did not reach a compromise on a Ukraine peace deal.
