Cyber Fraud Trends in 2025: Gurgaon and Tirupati

In 2025, Gurgaon saw a big drop in the amount of money lost to cyber fraud.

The police say this happened because they improved their technology to watch for fraud and taught people how to stay safe.

In 2024, people in Gurgaon lost Rs 387.96 crore to fraud, but in 2025, that number went down to Rs 281.99 crore.

That's over Rs 106 crore less lost to fraud!

In Tirupati, even though the amount of money lost to cyber fraud increased from Rs 12.31 crore in 2024 to Rs 14.45 crore in 2025, the police were able to recover more money for the victims.

They recovered Rs 3.53 crore in 2025, compared to Rs 2.30 crore in 2024.

The police in Tirupati also did a great job at recovering lost mobile phones using an app called Mobile Hunt.

They recovered 2,485 phones in 2025, which is more than the 2,003 phones they recovered in 2024.

Overall, Tirupati saw a small increase in the number of crimes, but many types of serious crimes decreased.

The police also made sure that more people were punished for serious crimes, like murder and rape.

They even used drones and CCTV cameras to help prevent crimes and keep people safe.
