Uttar Pradesh Faces Voter Enumeration Challenges
In Uttar Pradesh, India, many people haven't submitted their voter forms yet, and the deadline might be extended.
The Election Commission is working hard to make sure everyone is counted.
Some politicians, like Akhilesh Yadav, are saying that the elections aren't fair and that the government is using the voter list process to scare people.
They want the government to make changes to how elections are run and to help the families of workers who have died while doing their jobs.
The Election Commission has also appointed special officers to make sure everything is done correctly.
27.5 million voter enumeration forms still outstanding in Uttar Pradesh, deadline may be extended.
Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa reports 97.3% digitisation completion, 17.7% forms outstanding.
Political parties and CEO's office support a one-week extension for form submission.
Akhilesh Yadav alleges electoral misconduct, demands reforms and compensation for deceased BLOs.
