Apple TV+ Series 'Drops of God' Success Story
Imagine a TV show about fancy French wine.
At first, the director didn't know anything about wine and didn't even speak French!
The producer, Dynamic Television, had a tough time getting people to believe in the show.
They pitched it to Apple and Netflix, but no one was interested.
Then, the director read the script and realized it could be a suspenseful thriller, even in the wine world.
They made a pilot episode, and Apple loved it.
The show, based on a Japanese manga, won an International Emmy.
The show is a co-production with many companies, including Apple, Legendary, Dynamic, France Télévisions, and Hulu Japan.
The second season will air on Apple next year.
Dynamic Television produced the Apple TV+ series, Drops of God.
The director initially disliked wine and didn't speak French.
The show's concept was a hard sell initially to streamers.
Apple TV+ acquired the rights and the show won an International Emmy.
Season 2 of Drops of God will air on Apple next year.
