BharatGen Secures Funding for AI Development

India is investing heavily in artificial intelligence.

BharatGen, a government-backed initiative, has been awarded Rs 988.6 crore by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

This funding comes from the IndiaAI Mission and will help BharatGen create powerful AI models.

The models will include Large Language and Multimodal models with up to a trillion parameters as well as smaller ones.

The initiative aims to make India a leader in AI and will focus on developing indigenous AI capabilities.
