VPR Foundation Launches Free Cancer and Eye Screening Camps
A group called the VPR Foundation, led by a Member of Parliament and a Member of the Legislative Assembly, is starting free health camps in an area called Nellore.
These camps will check people for cancer and also have a special van that travels around to give free eye checkups and treatments.
They want to help people see better and catch diseases early.
This foundation has done similar health work before, like helping many women get checked for cancer and finding early cases.
They have also worked on providing clean water and helping with schools and other community projects.
VPR Foundation, led by MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Prashanthi Reddy, will conduct free cancer screening camps.
The Foundation also launched 'VPR Nethra', a mobile eye-care programme for free eye checkups and treatment.
Cancer screening camps will begin in Udayagiri, part of the Nellore Parliamentary segment.
Previously, the Foundation screened over 10,000 women for cancer in the Kovur constituency, identifying 1,000 early-stage cases.
The VPR Foundation has also been involved in providing clean drinking water, education, and rural development initiatives.
