Potholes Plague Alaktika, Greenwood Sonata Residents

Potholes Plague Alaktika, Greenwood Sonata Residents

Residents of Alaktika Housing Complex and Greenwood Sonata in Action Area IID are facing a big problem with the roads.

The roads are full of deep holes called potholes, which can damage cars and make it dangerous for people to drive or ride.

The roads started getting bad about a year ago and got worse after the monsoon.

The residents have written many times to the Newtown Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) to fix the roads, but nothing has been done.

The problem is made worse by garages and vendors who park their things on the sides of the road, making it even harder to drive around the potholes.

There are also some broken streetlights, which make it difficult to see the potholes at night.

The latest complaint was sent on October 21 to the new chairman of NKDA.

An NKDA official said they are looking into the problem and have been trying to get tenders for the work.
