ECI Reminds Media of Rules for Bihar Elections
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a reminder to media outlets about rules for the upcoming Bihar elections.
During the 48-hour 'silence period' before voting ends, no election-related content, including opinions, can be displayed.
This prevents influencing voters.

This ban includes print, electronic, and digital platforms.
The ECI wants a fair election, and violating these rules can result in penalties, including jail time.
ECI warned media about election content during the silence period.
The silence period is 48 hours before the end of polling.
Voting for the first phase of Bihar polls is on November 6.
