52 UP Leaders Get Bulletproof Jackets Ahead of 2027 Polls
Security officials have reportedly given special protective jackets to 52 leaders in Uttar Pradesh.
The jackets are meant to help protect them before the 2027 state election.
The reported recipients include Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati.
Eleven state ministers are also included.
Eight leaders received jackets first, and 44 received them later.
Each jacket reportedly costs about Rs 10 lakh.
Another 98 leaders and prominent people are expected to receive different types of security.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is also organizing its election team and focusing on representation for OBC and minority communities.
