V-Mart Lowers FY26 Revenue Growth Forecast
V-Mart Retail is a company that runs small hypermarkets in India.
They recently said they won't grow as much as they thought they would this year because people didn't buy as much during the festivals.
They now think they'll grow between 15% and 18%, which is less than their earlier prediction of 17% to 20%.
The company's boss, Anand Agarwal, said they're still doing well and plan to open more stores.
They think there's a lot of room to grow in India's clothing market because most people still buy clothes from small, unorganized shops.
V-Mart's shares have gone down a lot in the past year, but they're still hopeful about the future.
V-Mart Retail revised its FY26 revenue growth forecast to 15–18% from 17–20% due to weaker-than-expected festive sales.
The company plans to expand its store network by 13–15% annually, with 80% of new stores under the V-Mart brand and 20% under Unlimited.
V-Mart's shares have declined over 21% in the past year, with a current market capitalisation of ₹4,635 crore.
Despite the revised forecast, V-Mart remains optimistic about long-term growth in India's organised apparel retail market.
The company expects to add 75–80 stores in FY27, maintaining an 80:20 ratio between V-Mart and Unlimited stores.
