Wipro Chairman's Pay Doubles; CEO Earns Significantly More
Wipro's Chairman, Rishad Premji, saw his pay double this year because the company did better.
He made about $1.6 million.
However, the new CEO, Srinivas Pallia, earned much more, around $6.2 million.
This is less than what the previous CEO made.
Pallia's pay included salary, bonuses, and stock options.
Both Premji and Pallia can earn extra money based on Wipro's profits.
Premji had taken a pay cut before when the company's profits were down.
Rishad Premji's pay as Wipro Chairman doubled to $1.6 million in FY25.
CEO Srinivas Pallia's salary was $6.2 million for the same period.
Premji's pay increase followed an 18.9% rise in Wipro's net profit.
Pallia's compensation included salary, commission, and stock options.
Pallia's salary is less than half of the previous CEO's salary.
