Ujjain Corporation Demolishes Illegal Construction, Plans Road Widening
Ujjain officials removed a building they said was built without permission.
The building was on land reserved for the Simhastha area.
Simhastha 2028 will require space for roads, ghats, parking and traffic arrangements.
Officials said they will continue checking the area for illegal construction and encroachments.
The city also started measuring a road that may become 15 metres wide.

Ujjain Municipal Corporation demolished an unauthorised construction on Simhastha-area land along Lalpul Bridge Road.
The construction was attributed to Madhavanand Ashram and had allegedly been built without permission.
The demolition used two Poclain machines and JCB machines after site inspection and required procedures.
The corporation began marking a roughly 730-metre road proposed for widening to 15 metres.
