Bharti Airtel Announces Leadership Changes and Share Call
Bharti Airtel, a big Indian phone company, made several important announcements.
First, they said that people who have partly-paid shares need to pay the rest of the money, which is ₹401.25 per share.
The deadline to be eligible for this payment is 6 February 2026.
Second, they announced new leaders for the company.
Shashwat Sharma will be the new CEO for Airtel India, and Soumen Ray will be the new finance chief.
The current CEO, Gopal Vittal, will move to a different role.
These changes will start on 1 January 2026.
Additionally, Bharti Airtel and Singtel agreed to change their shareholders' agreement to make it clearer and more aligned with current business needs.
This change does not affect who controls the company.
The company's stock has been doing well this year, going up by 31.5%.
