BJP Leader Clarifies Namaz Offered Inside Hanumangarhi Temple

BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh clarified that namaz was offered inside the Hanumangarhi temple premises in Ayodhya, not on the steps.

He had earlier denied that namaz was offered on the steps but later clarified that it took place within the 52-bigha area of the ancient temple.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused previous SP governments of allowing namaz on the temple steps, intensifying the political debate over the history and sanctity of the temple.

The controversy stems from a 2003 incident, and Singh also clarified his remark about a Muslim constructing Hanumangarhi, stating it is an ancient shrine mentioned in religious texts.
