Flexicap Funds Rotate ₹30,379 Crore Across Stocks in August
Top flexicap mutual funds changed many of their investments in August.
They bought shares worth ₹19,416 crore and sold shares worth ₹10,963 crore.
HDFC Bank received the biggest increase in investment among the stocks tracked.
UltraTech Cement was the largest new purchase.
Pharmaceuticals attracted the most money among sectors.
Fund managers reduced holdings in companies such as Power Finance Corporation and ICICI Bank.
They also completely exited some companies, including Cyient.
Overall, the funds moved money between different businesses instead of simply buying or selling everything.
Top flexicap funds bought stocks worth ₹19,416 crore and sold ₹10,963 crore in August.
HDFC Bank saw the largest increased exposure at ₹980 crore, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries.
Fresh purchases were led by UltraTech Cement at ₹988 crore, DLF at ₹947 crore and Life Insurance Corporation of India at ₹933 crore.
Pharmaceuticals recorded the highest sectoral net inflow at ₹1,498 crore, ahead of realty and capital markets.
Power Finance Corporation had the largest reduced exposure, while Cyient led complete exits with ₹400 crore sold.
