CBI Clears Retired SP in Mobile Tower Data Case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has cleared a retired police officer, Roshan Lal, and an inspector, Pavnesh Kumar, in a case where they were accused of sharing a woman's mobile tower location data without permission.
The CBI investigated for a long time but found no proof that the officers did anything wrong.
They filed a report saying the officers are not guilty.
The case started in 2024 when someone said the officers shared the location data in a different case about harassment.
But after checking, the CBI said they couldn't prove the officers did it.
Retired SP Roshan Lal and Inspector Pavnesh Kumar were accused of sharing mobile tower location data unlawfully.
The CBI investigated the case for two years and found no evidence against the officers.
The CBI filed a cancellation report in the special CBI court, stating no incriminating evidence was found.
The FIR was registered in 2024 following allegations related to a separate molestation case.
The agency concluded that the involvement of the officers could not be substantiated.
