Kerala HC Orders Protection for Expelled CPM Leader

Kerala HC Orders Protection for Expelled CPM Leader

The Kerala High Court has ordered police protection for Kunhikrishnan V, an expelled leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM.

This is ahead of the release of his book, which talks about some CPM leaders doing wrong things with money meant for martyrs and other funds.

The book launch is on February 4, 2026, in Payyanur, Kannur.

Kunhikrishnan said he and others might be harmed, so he asked the court for help.

The court told the police to make sure he is safe.

The CPM has expelled Kunhikrishnan for making these serious claims against other leaders, including an MLA named Madhusoodhanan.

The court also asked some CPM leaders to respond to the claims.
