KGH patients get relief from power interruptions
King George Hospital (KGH) in Visakhapatnam has added new mobile generators to help patients when the power goes out.
Before, when the power failed, the hospital had to use flashlights and candles.
This happened recently when a pipeline broke and stopped the power for a while.
The district Collector and a local leader helped get these new generators to make sure patients are more comfortable.
The hospital already has some other generators and a solar power plant.
The hospital superintendent is also trying to get more solar plants in different parts of the hospital.
King George Hospital (KGH) in Visakhapatnam has installed 323-KV-capacity mobile generators to provide backup power during interruptions.
Previously, the hospital relied on flashlights and candles during power outages, which caused inconvenience to patients.
A recent pipeline break caused a power outage, highlighting the need for better backup power solutions.
District Collector MN Harendhira Prasad and MLA Vamsi Krishna Srinivas Yadav initiated the installation of the new generators.
The hospital already has 10 generators with 233-KV capacity, a few with 1,690-KV capacity, and a solar power plant in the CSR block.
