Kharge, Rahul Seek CJI Meeting Over ‘Vote Chori’ Concerns

Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi want to meet India’s Chief Justice on Monday.

They say they want to explain their concerns about alleged “vote chori,” or stealing votes.

Kharge said both leaders sent the Chief Justice letters.

He also criticized the government’s handling of a protest in Delhi on Saturday.

The report says thousands of people were detained during that protest.

Protesters were calling for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

Opposition parties have also asked President Droupadi Murmu to intervene.

The INDIA bloc says it plans another protest march on Monday.
