Bullet Train Bridge Construction Begins Over Sabarmati River
A new bridge is being built over the Sabarmati River for the Bullet Train.
This bridge uses a special method to build it piece by piece without needing support from below.
It will be as tall as a 12-story building and have eight big pillars holding it up, some in the river.
The construction team is using long pieces to lessen the need for supports in the water.
They are also focused on safety, with workers wearing safety gear and cameras watching the work.
This bridge is one of many that will make the Bullet Train possible.
A bridge over the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad is being built as part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (Bullet Train Project).
The bridge is being constructed using the Balance Cantilever Technique, without scaffolding.
The bridge will be 480 meters long and 36 meters high, with eight circular piers.
The bridge construction uses longer spans to reduce the number of piers in the riverbed.
Safety protocols include PPE, catch nets, and CCTV monitoring during construction.
