Bhagwat Says India Became Vishwaguru Through Service, Not Power

Mohan Bhagwat said India became a Vishwaguru, or world teacher, by helping others rather than trying to become a superpower.

He said Indian traditions focus on service, friendship, and sharing knowledge.

He argued that Indian travellers spread ideas and values without conquering other countries.

Bhagwat said India has given shelter to people escaping persecution, including Polish refugees during World War II.

He also mentioned Indian aircraft rescuing people from seven other countries during a Middle East conflict.

He said Hindu philosophy teaches that different people and cultures can still belong to one human family.

This idea is called Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

He described diversity as natural and unity as the deeper reality.

He also said these ideas should be demonstrated through example rather than forced on others.
