Kishor Says Delhi Protest Success Shown by 40,000 Troops

A protest took place in Delhi on Saturday against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Prashant Kishor, a Jan Suraaj Party founder, spoke about the protest.

He said 40,000 paramilitary personnel were deployed in the city.

Kishor argued that such a large deployment showed the protest was powerful and successful.

He also joined the Opposition in asking Kumar to resign.

Kishor said people’s trust in the Election Commission of India had weakened over the last 8 to 10 years.

The article does not give the protest’s attendance figure.
