Vijay Urges PM to Retain Class XII-Based BVSc Admissions

Vijay Urges PM to Retain Class XII-Based BVSc Admissions

A leader in India named Vijay wrote a letter to the country's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Vijay is the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

In his letter, he asked to stop a new plan for how students get into veterinary school, where people learn to become animal doctors.

Right now, students in Tamil Nadu are chosen for this school using their high school exam marks.

The Veterinary Council of India wants to use one big common test called NEET instead.

Vijay thinks this new test would be unfair for many students.

He says students who can pay for special coaching classes would have an advantage.

He says the current system gives students from villages, government schools and poorer families a fair chance.

He also worries about problems with the NEET test, including a question paper leak in 2024.

He wants each state to keep making its own rules for admissions.
