Sanjeev Khirwar appointed new MCD commissioner

Sanjeev Khirwar appointed new MCD commissioner

The government has appointed a new person, Sanjeev Khirwar, to be the head of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

He was previously in Ladakh and before that, he was in Delhi but had to leave because of a disagreement over closing a sports stadium early.

The old head, Ashwani Kumar, has been moved to another job in Jammu and Kashmir.

The new head will now be in charge of making important decisions for the city, especially about money and daily work.

This change happened because of official orders from the government.

There was a big argument about whether the stadium was closed early so that Sanjeev Khirwar could walk his dog, but he and the stadium's administrator said that's not true.

Athletes said they used to practice until 8:30 PM but had to leave by 7 PM.
