Karnataka Businessman Assaulted, Extorted After Facebook Contact
A man from Maddur taluk in Mandya district was contacted by a woman named Rachana on Facebook.
She asked for money, and he sent her Rs 5,000.
When he asked for the money back, she convinced him to meet her in Mysuru or Kushalnagar.
Instead, she and three other people, Malati, Darshan, and Ravi, assaulted him, kept him locked up, and tried to take more money from him.
The police have arrested these four people, but they are still looking for more suspects.
