Emkay sees 40% growth for India's electronics manufacturing firms

India makes a lot of electronic things like phones, but many of the tiny parts inside are still bought from other countries.

A research company called Emkay studied this and thinks Indian electronics makers could grow very fast — more than 40% every year for the next five years.

That means the companies that build these products could nearly double their business every couple of years.

The Indian government is helping by giving lots of money to factories that make electronic parts and computer chips.

Right now India makes only about 1% of all the electronics in the world, but there is a plan to grow that to 6 to 7% by 2030.

Big companies like Apple and Samsung are already making more products in India.

Apple had 14 supplier companies in India in 2023 and more than 40 by 2025, and India built about 55 million iPhones in 2025.

The report says the biggest chances to grow are in data centres, power lines, car electronics, trains, circuit boards, and chip packaging.

Some companies like Syrma and Avalon are expected to do very well, while one company called Kaynes needs to be more careful because it has had trouble finishing its projects.

If all goes well, India could become one of the world's biggest places for making electronics.
