Bajaj Finance Raises FD Rates, Boosting Five-Year Returns

Bajaj Finance has changed the interest rates it pays on fixed deposits.

The rates are available for deposits lasting from one to five years.

A regular customer investing ₹5 lakh for five years at the top fresh-deposit rate of 7.75% could receive about ₹7.25 lakh in total.

A senior citizen gets a higher rate of 8.15%, making the illustrated total about ₹7.40 lakh.

These totals are estimates, and the actual amount can differ because of how interest is compounded.

Customers renewing an existing deposit can get a slightly higher rate than customers making a fresh deposit.

Depositors can choose to receive interest at different intervals or let it build up.
