SP Welcomes Owaisi’s Offer of Uttar Pradesh Poll Alliance
Uttar Pradesh will hold elections for its state Assembly in 2027.
Asaduddin Owaisi said his party, AIMIM, is willing to join an alliance to try to stop the BJP from winning power for a third time.
Samajwadi Party MP Ramashankar Vidyarthi welcomed the idea.
He said people who want to join the political fight are welcome.
Vidyarthi said the most important thing is choosing someone who can win, not which party gets a particular seat.
He mentioned both the Samajwadi Party and Congress as possible sources of candidates.
He also used a mythological comparison while criticizing the BJP.

He said winning matters more than which party gets a seat, and that a candidate capable of winning should receive the ticket, whether from the SP or Congress.
Vidyarthi also urged young people to stay away from what he called the BJP’s “Bhasmasur”; the Assembly elections will cover 403 seats.
